“I’m an Alpha, Derek…” Stiles confessed. From natural reaction, a grin spread across his face.

“Stiles, it isn’t funny to joke about.” Derek stated. He was irritated already, and he did not need to hear Stiles making fun of an Alpha status. 

“No one ever takes me seriously…” Stiles trailed off, his smile dropping and face going slack of emotion. 

Derek watched the 17 year old’s eyes shine a bright red, for only a second, and he couldn’t stop his own eyes from responding to the call of an Alpha.
