Hist! The sparrows are screeching! Can it be that there is something amiss in the northern quadrant????

He fires off a quick text: “Birds upset, might be back late”, before opening up his Audubon app to see if anyone in the local birding community has spotted that rambunctious hawk recently. He grabs his pocket binoculars because he doesn’t have his Alpha vision anymore, and anyway werewolf evolution hasn’t been particularly focused on distinguishing between specific types of songbird plumage.

“you are literally Snow White, avoid apples plz” Stiles texts back.

Derek ignores it and texts Janet, who lives in a retirement home near the lake. “Any hawk sightings lately?” He pulls out a plastic baggie full of trail mix that Stiles had stuffed in his jacket pocket and starts hiking.
